Arizona State University, in cooperation with the Event Safety Alliance (ESA) is excited to offer the nation’s first OSHA 10 and 30 hour OSHA Construction Industry Outreach courses tailored to the live event and special event industry.

OSHA 10 Hour Class - Hazard Recognition (construction) for the Live Event Industry - This new course developed by ASU and the Event Safety Alliance utilizes OSHA's 10 Hour Outreach Program for the construction industry to deliver hazard recognition and awareness training to those working in the live event industry. The required OSHA 10 Hour topics have been customized to deliver information that is relevant to the industry while meeting OSHA outreach training program requirements. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry cards, issued by the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at ASU, that will include an endorsement acknowledging the Live Event Industry training focus.

The OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the construction industry. Workers employed in the live and special event industries work under fast paced, tightly managed schedules to build sets, stages and other temporary structures at the Nation's concerts, festivals, conferences and sporting events. Worksites and conditions are constantly changing and educating these workers on hazard recognition and avoidance is vital to their health and safety, and to the success of these events that are attended by millions of people every day.
